Carbon Farming

Farmer kneeling in a field collecting soil samples with a probe, green crops in background — Hands planting seeds in dark soil represent the grassroots work satellites now verify as certified carbon credits worldwide.

Satellites Verifying Soil Carbon Credits at Scale

1
Satellite Observation
Multispectral & SAR sensors map biomass
2
Downlink & Archive
Daily scenes ingested to cloud storage
3
Carbon Analytics
ML models estimate soil organic carbon change
4
Credit Issuance
Verified MRV report unlocks farmer payment

Satellite-derived vegetation and soil data feed carbon models that issue verified credits directly to enrolled farmers.

Applications

3.5.1 Soil Carbon Monitoring — Mapping and tracking soil organic carbon stocks across agricultural land using multi-spectral, hyperspectral and SAR satellite data fused with ground-truth sampling networks.
3.5.2 Carbon Credit Verification — Using multispectral, SAR and hyperspectral satellite data to independently verify that carbon credits issued against agricultural land reflect real, measurable and permanent carbon sequestration.
3.5.3 Regenerative Agriculture Verification — Independently confirming that farms practicing regenerative agriculture are delivering the land-health and biodiversity outcomes they claim, using multispectral and SAR satellite time-series.
3.5.4 Carbon Sequestration Analytics — Quantifying the rate and volume of carbon being sequestered across forests, croplands and wetlands using multi-spectral and SAR satellite time-series combined with sovereign-run biophysical models.
3.5.5 Agricultural ESG Monitoring — Continuously measuring and reporting environmental, social and governance performance across national farmland using multispectral, SAR and thermal satellite imagery.
