What we flew.

SpaceShare is a joint initiative of ISRO and Satellize to fly up to ten experimental missions on a forthcoming PSLV's fourth stage. Each mission rides on a 16 cm × 10 cm Eurocard inside a shared chassis and inherits 5 V / 1 A regulated power and a 9.6 kbps serial link to the ground.

The platform is open to academic institutions, NGOs and other non-commercial entities. The traditional bottleneck — “which radio system to use, which space-grade batteries to buy” — disappears: applicants build a circuit board and a mission, and the chassis handles the rest.

The mission selection runs through a one-day spacecrafting workshop in Hyderabad, where two members from each accepted team learn how to build space-grade payloads and how to integrate against the SpaceShare ICD. Functional, thermo-vac and vibration testing follow before chassis integration and delivery to ISRO.

SpaceShare is a deliberate widening of the on-ramp: the same democratised access we bring to sovereign customers, applied to the next generation of Indian builders.
