What we flew.
GSAT-30 launched on 17 January 2020 from Kourou aboard Ariane 5 VA251 — Arianespace's first launch of the year — and replaced the ageing INSAT-4A at 83° E geostationary. The C-band coverage extends across the Asia-Pacific while the Ku-band footprint serves the Indian subcontinent.
The mission carries communications across television, telephony, VSAT, telemetry, ATM connectivity, e-governance and disaster response. It is the kind of spacecraft most citizens never hear about and depend on every day.
